Amanda Brewer is an ex-International 3* eventer turned Grand Prix dressage rider, a BHS Instructor and British Dressage Accredited Trainer and offers lessons to all levels of rider in dressage, show jumping, eventing and training towards BHS exams.
Amanda offers individual lessons, group lessons and clinics at clients' own premises or hired premises.
Amanda is based in Lambourn, Berkshire situated between Wantage, Newbury and Swindon close to the Oxforshire border. Her clients are mostly located in the Wantage, Witney, Faringdon, Didcot, Abingdon, Lambourn, Hungerford, Andover, Newbury and Swindon areas but she can also travel to clients based elsewhere in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Gloucestershire.
Amanda's dressage clients range from grass roots riders and children on ponies to national dressage champions so whether you are just starting out in dressage or already competing and looking to progress further, whether you have a pony, cob or warmblood, Amanda coaches all levels of horse and rider from Preliminary to Grand Prix.
Amanda has trained with many of the world's leading dressage trainers including Ellen Bontje (a regular dressage team member for Holland and Olympic Silver medallist), Nicole Uphoff (German individual dressage and team gold medallist at European, World and Olympic championships) and is a long term, regular pupil of former Team GB dressage coach Conrad Schumacher. Amanda makes regular training trips back to Germany and her ongoing commitment to learning from the world's best dressage trainers is what makes her an outstanding dressage instructor with a unique approach.
Amanda is passionate about passing on her extensive experience and knowledge to her clients and enjoys teaching dressage riders of all levels. She believes correct dressage training, combined with a sympathetic approach produces stunning results and the horses she trains are characterised by softness, suppleness and swinging paces.
Amanda's show jumping clients range from those competing at unaffiliated level to Eurpean Pony Team show jumper Jessica Mendoza so whether you are just starting jumping courses at pony club or riding club level or already competing in affiliated show jumping competitions Amanda can offer training to help you succeed and progress further.
Amanda trained with Marianne Gilchrist (Australian international Olympic and World Cup show jumper) and offers lessons to those looking to improve their course jumping through accurate riding whilst working simultaneously on improving the rider's and horse's technique.
Amanda's eventing clients include those riding at unaffiliated and BE affiliated level so whether you are just starting eventing or already competing at affiliated level Amanda can offer training to help you to achieve your long term goals.
Amanda trained with Captain Mark Phillips (British Eventing team gold medallist, winner of World and European championships, Badminton and Burghley and former US eventing coach) and offers lessons to help eventers to deliver strong performances in all phases.
In addition to training in dressage, show jumping and eventing Amanda also offers lessons in stable management for those wishing to take BHS stable management exams or those who simply want to learn more about horse care.
